An AVA van

was just spotted patrolling around Mama Girl's farm.

It angers me that we can't even offer Mama Girl her simple wish of freedom, her small little wish of going home to her pack.

Why we can have so many high-rise buildings and few IR projects here and yet can't even have a simple place for our animals to live freely? Why? Why?.....Don't understand.... :0(((

AVA would be better deployed if they bother to patrol more at unscrupulous pet shops, pet farms, puppy mills and the like... rather than prey on poor, stray dogs.

Hi, I've been reading this blog and is touched by all that you all have done for the dogs. I've a problem here. There'a a litter of 7 puppies found in my school compound and the AVA will be called in. I do not want the puppies to be put down but I am unable to house or keep them temporary. Advice?!!

Maybe we can 'help' to deploy them to these unscrupulous pet shops/farms/puppy mills to make them busy or meet their whatever quotas they have. I dont know if its just a simple phone call away like how some people call to make complain about strays or what to have them captured.

Fully agree with Jules's view.

Did they catch any dogs from Mama girl's farm? If so, we need to do something to redeem them. We should not succumb to such inhumane policy.

hi shuxian..
my humble advice to you..
please help by sending the 7puppies to SPCA.

would you rather they can be put UP for Adoption/put down Humanely OR being culled by ava's evilhands?

unless you have the means(financely) to house the 7pups till they get adopted.

God bless and best of luck=)

Hi Shuxian, sorry I can't decide for you in this case. There are times when debating about what is right, what is wrong is irrelevant. Maybe someone decides to do the 'right' thing by not bringing the pups to SPCA to be put down when he/she is just waiting for another person to do it. Maybe the person who brings the pups to SPCA is criticised for doing the 'wrong' thing, for taking lives but no one came forward to offer any solution or plan. Maybe we all have an erroneous concept of death. I'm still watching truths unfold as we move along.

And no, the authorities did not catch any of Mama Girl's pack today. It was a different van with just one man, not the usual group of dog cathers. He was possibly surveying the area.

Shuxian - I dropped you an email with some suggestions, drawing from my experiences in this area. Please check.

Hi Shuxian, please try Action for Singapore Dogs for help. They may be able to assist you to rehome the pups. Please dont give up on them as each one is just as precious.

By the way, I do try to "deploy" AVA to better use when i see dubious-looking petshops etc. Send them out to check on the possibly "guilty" places or they may decide to patrol around and pick up more poor, frightened strays.

Hi, shuxian here, this is to update on the puppies. I've already called ASD but their foster homes are already full. I've emailed them to see if pictures of the puppies can be posted on their adoption page. I'm also looking for potential homes among my friends. I've managed to get 1 puppy a home, and I'll be doing follow up. Meanwhile, pls contact me if there are good homes for the puppies. Thanks!
