Home visit to Ranger

this morning. Our boy has grown and he's looking good. J says he is Mr Popular at the dog run, people speculating on what breed he actually is - some said he has JRT blood in him cos of his patches. Or somewhat like a Brittany Spaniel. He does have this pedigree look to him but Ranger is through and through a local breed and proud of that.

He's settling in well with Yuko and family. Naturally affectionate and friendly nature.

Didn't manage to visit Scott and Comet today due to the families' schedule, will do so coming week.

Star, Ebony's only boy left at the farm

We also popped by tapioca farm for JT to spend some time with Girl and her children. A refreshing and satisfying session. I do like this farm. Jonah, Jamie, Jordan all doing fine after their sterilisation. All enjoyed the spare ribs JT got for them. Girl took 2 and hid both under the truck. She doesn't really have a penchant for treats we could tell.

Jordan and Anne relishing their spare ribs.
We were missing Jamie and Ben for awhile, calling and calling for them but they didn't appear. Finally found them chilling out at the corner under the metal shelfing - a good few degrees cooler here! Smart choice.

A passing thought over lunch, which is always at the corner of my mind actually, these dogs of ours are gonna be around for another 10-odd years and more. Will the farm be still as it is? Will the people be still around? What about V? Us?

So, back to the vital importance of STERILISATION. As well as a collective agreement against INDISCRIMINATE BREEDING (discourage buying of dogs from petshops/pet farms) and finally to encourage COMPULSURY MICROCHIPPING of ALL dogs being bred locally as a means of identification to deter irresposible pet abandonment which adds on to the stray population.
