What's Comet thinking now?

Star, Comet's bro.
Comet (brown fella with black muzzle) with Little Anne, his aunt. Anne's mom, Girl, is also the mom of Ebony, Comet's mom.

Comet and Little Anne 'attacking' Star, every bit a willing victim.

2 Sundays ago, we met 2 families keen on Comet and Star.

Both are quite alright. Both like Comet - our feisty brown boy with the blackish muzzle. Both staying in apartments. Both trying their best to convince us they have thought thru the decision very very thoroughly. Both confessing their willingness to commit to the lifetime happiness of the pup.

At times, I am in 2 minds. A new home of practically strangers - with concerns on how pup will be in later years - or to let them stay on where they are.

Looking at them roam about the field, chasing, taunting, teasing one another, lounging on the sun-baked concrete or lazing among the tall grasses or under the huge truck - sigh...they look happy right where they are.

Home. Home is in the great outdoors. Here.

Should we even be finding them another?

* Update: Comet is now with a chinese family. Very well-mannered kids. They seemed truly committed to the lifetime responsibility of Comet. Last nite, we followed the family back with Comet and helped to settle him in. He was disoriented naturally. But got comfortable enough to enjoy a treat and later dinner of boiled meat and rice. He finished all his dinner. Good sign. After his bath, Comet started to whine for a while being crashing in at about 10pm. So far so good. We will follow up with more updates on our boy.

The process of rehoming is always a play of dilemma. To rehome or not to rehome - that perpetual question. I still do not have a firm answer.
