were brought to Dr T on 26 June for sterilisation. That evening before, we noticed bloody lumps at their private parts. Looked like an infection of some sort.
Dr T diagnosed it as a form of canine veneareal disease - cancer. Busuk was in a more critical stage, with a few cancerous lumps which have to be removed.
The operation would cost quite a bit with follow-up treatment of medication and injections. In all, it would cost about $350 for each of them.
Dr T advised that it wouldn't make sense to sterilise them at all if we had no intention to treat their condition, cos very soon down the road, they would die from the condition.
I think we have to keep focused. What is the starting point of us getting involved in all this stray work at all?
To save lives.
In any event where a life CAN be saved, we should save that life. We must be careful not to let the promise of life be robbed by a concern with money. When the heart is right and focused, the resources to carry a need through, WILL come.
We thought it over and proceeded to have Wangi and Busuk operated on. They recuperated at Dr T's clinic for a period. We shall update on them in later posts.
