Fron the day we saw Abbie

till the day he went off to Noah's Ark (7 June), our little fellow has taken all the happenings in his stride.

He has experienced visits to Dr R, endured jabs, bitter medicine, medicated dips and something he probably will remember for awhile - ultrasonic baths! I'm sure he must have been pretty amused at the purring machine, the swirling waters, the aroma of chamomile, juniper and lavendar....makes ME want me have an ultrasonic bath too!

I believe the bath helped to speed up his recovery - the natural healing powers of the essential oils plus the ultrasonic motions that helped to clear his skin of dirt, mites, skin flakes etc.. I'm not that sure he really enjoyed it but I think he sort of knew it was good for him. Each time we ultrasonic-bathe him, he has this doleful expression....ha! But the baths sure did him good!

It has been an amazing journey with Abbie. The tale of a little mangey pup who has touched the hearts of so many people around the island. People who came forward to bless our little one with their kind donations that saw Abbie through his many vet visits and medication, his stay at the clinic and later at the boarding kennels. The people who wrote in with advice and offers of help in every way for him.

People who saw beyond the blistered skin and bones and see the LIFE in Abbie's eyes. Young LIFE awaiting to surge forth from the old and sick-looking flesh.

We saw that LIFE in Abbie. Thank you to all of you who see that too. Now, that LIFE is manifest before our eyes.

Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have stepped forth for Abbie with all your donations. You have brought light onto our path and made our steps so much easier. And thank you June for being Abbie's sponsor to Noah's Ark. You have made it possible for him to live out his long, good life in peace. No more fear of being taken away and culled. No more worry about sickness and hunger.

Where all is provided. Well and good.
