Where Abbie comes from,
many of his siblings are still suffering varying degrees of mange and malnutrition. Many of them are friendly enough to come close when there's food. But to catch them is another matter altogether.
As of 1 June, we have sterilised one of the black pups and relocated her to another farm enroute to Noah's Ark. We named her Grey (more on her later).
We had been trying to get Abbie's sister (top picture). Her condition is more severe - with no fur at all now, just hard, crusty skin ravaged by mited. She has such a sullen and discouraged demeanor, it's sad to see.
Unfortunately, since 3 weeks ago, she has 'disappeared'. The dreaded truth is: she most likely had been caught and killed by the authorities.
Another one of our dogs - a very friendly old gal, lab look-alike (3rd picture) - has also since disappeared...
Such is the plight of the unseen strays.
